It’s conveniently located between downtown and the TMC with its own stop on the METRORail line right outside the building. Driving to TMC can be a headache (especially during rush hour), so oftentimes patients and traveling medical professionals opt for the METRORail instead. The METRORail makes getting around a breeze, but on those days you don’t feel like traveling far to grab a bite to eat or order to-go, you have access to all kinds of restaurants and bars within a three-block radius. Midtown is known as one of the most bustling and walkable parts of town, so you’ll have plenty of places to explore right on your doorstep!
Situated in the Texas Medical Center neighborhood directly across from MD Anderson Cancer Center, Elan Med Center is an extremely popular place for patients and traveling medical professionals to stay. It’s within walking distance of TMC (You can see MD Anderson from your window!) and is just a short drive away from some southwest Houston’s most iconic locations: Hermann Park. Houston Zoo, Rice Village, and the Museum District.
You can also take the METRORail from the TMC and be in Midtown or downtown in minutes. Some of our guests take our complimentary wheelchair across the street to MD Anderson for appointments, because it’s just that close.
A fully-appointed gym and infinity pool provide more opportunities to leave the hospital behind when you come home.
